Why do people treat other human beings with disrespect and hatred? Why do they think they are above others? I’ve said this many times before, but I will say it again: just because someone has wealth, a better job, more power, a bigger house, expensive clothes, and multiple cars, or whatever else “more” in material stuff, that does NOT make him or her a better human being. What we all need is more HEART!
When a person has a HEART, even if he or she is rich and famous, there’s a humility about him or her. He cares about those who are not as fortunate as him. She reaches out to help when someone is down, instead of rejoicing for the person’s loss. He realizes that God has made us all and that one day we will all go to the same place, no matter how much wealth or power we have. She understands that by giving and caring about other human beings is how she receives more in return.
Let’s cultivate our HEARTS and be…
- Humble no matter what our status in life is
- Egalitarian by treating everyone fairly regardless of race, religion, age,
- Appreciative of the qualities each person brings to the table
- Respectful and understand where each person is coming from
- Trustworthy by keeping our word when we make a promise
When we believe and stand behind these behaviors, our HEART will be so full of compassion and love, that there won’t be any room for hatred, jealousy, egoism, or a sense of superiority.
So, where is your HEART? Only you can answer this question. Please check its status and be honest with yourself. If there’s any behavior that you know is lacking, take a serious look inside and work on improving yourself.
Please find your HEART! Keep it open, embracing all of mankind, all animals, and nature with love and caring. We thrive when we unite.
Remember, you can’t change anyone but yourself. But, when you change yourself, you can change your energy and in return you can help others change themselves.
So, once again,…where is your HEART?
