Generally, the power that comes with a position or life status, transforms people, and it gives them a sense of superiority over others. This behavior creates a dichotomy between the leader and his or her team. If left unattended, things can get worse and eventually moral goes down and so does productivity.

Being compassionate and understanding is the key to creating a harmonious atmosphere at work, at home and in any relationship. At times, it will get challenging, however, that’s when it’s critical to maintain your composure because when you are faced with a tough situation, your true colors will show. Will you open your heart or will your power take over? When we try to see the other person’s point of view, we are able to stop ourselves from using hurtful words or act in such a way that may cause permanent damage to another fellow human being. We are all in this world together. The more we play well, a better place the world will be.
