Leaders, to earn the respect, loyalty and trust of your team, it’s important to back your words with action. Words are cheap, especially if they are pretentious. Action is what counts. Your team will support you, trust you and respect you only for so long, if you in return do not show them the same respect and appreciation.  It’s important for your words to be heartfelt, otherwise don’t even bother to say things you don’t mean. Because, if you keep promising but don’t follow through, your team will start doubting your every word and wondering if you would be there for them when they need you. Compliments, praises, smiles that are not sincere and coming from your heart will be obvious to the team. You must be authentic and make sure you show them with action that you mean what you say. After all…Action speaks louder than words.
